Seen from the water, which dominates the foreground, a barge with a standing man and woman occupy the middle distance. Beyond to the left a three-masted ship is in dry-dock, separated from other buildings and activities on the right by a small inlet of water. Behind the barge to the right is a complex of clapboard buildings; at the far right is another sailing ship pulled out of water. A group of men with flaming torches are tarring the exterior of the hull. This is a view of a busy dockyard along the river Thames under a blustery, cloudy sky.

This is a black and white photograph showing a rocky, barren hillside above  a grassy golf course in the vally below. The rocky terrain on the slope is depicted in great detail. The golf course has a large pond and tree lined fairways.

The Wulai Waterfalls are shown in a “Y” shape configuration, and painted in simple light ink washes. On a hill-path on the center right several tourists are represented as riding some kind of rickshaw.

There is a carp leaping out of a body of water. The front half of its body if in the air while the bottom half is still submerged in water. Ripples and mini waves are shown where the carp is emerging from the water. The water and sky have a reddish hue to it, there are a couple splashes of blue where the waves are. In the bottom right corner of the painting, there is a signature and two seals of the artist.
