A woman in a red and blue dress is sitting in a woodland setting with a baby on her lap. The baby is holding a paper envelope (or a folded note), while her right hand is outstretched. Another small child crouches at her side. He holds a cross in his left hand, and pets a lamb with his right hand.

Ambika sits above her stylized lion mount with a long body and with its tail curled to add support to the seated figure above. She sits with one leg pendant. She has four arms, the back two hold stylized mango clusters and her front right hand holds a large mango. Her left-hand cups a child seated on her left knee. Another child stands on the base to her right. The backing takes on a throne-like form, but she appears to float in front of it, the square-ish base is pierced and the arch of the back is surmounted by an auspicious pot form with leaves creating a volute shape to either side. The sculpture is solid brass, but the eyes and an ornament in her headdress are inlayed with silver.<br />

A group of four men gently lower a figure into a tomb that is placed parallel to the viewer. To the left is a group of mourners with hands clasped.  One female figure kneels at the ledge of the tomb and holds a covered jar.  Behind the figures is a rocky landscape with a fence and guard at the gate in the distance at the left.  An entrance to a cave is indicated on the right, directly behind the tomb, with the use of dense, dark hatching.  At the lower right corner is a circlet of thorny branches.
