This dish features a three part structural division; the boss is almost flat. Around the depressed area is a band of degenerate Gothic [or pseudo-Arabic] script. On the brim are solid lustre painted zig-zags, possibly a late version of gadroons. The empty areas of this pattern are filled with dots and floral motifs. The reverse has repeated circles only.

This image builds up from a densely packed lower foreground, comprised of a tree and sloping rooftops littered with chimneys. A church tower, surrounded by birds, rises against a blank sky in the top center of the image, forming an overall pyramidal composition that leads the viewer&rsquo;s eye up. The roofs of the houses in the foreground seem to waver with unevenly laid shingles, indicating that this is an old village. The church tower combines a gothic-style rose window and pointed arches with rounded windows and a much less ornately ornamented belltower, all more characteristic of Romanesque and Renaissance styles than Gothic.<br />
The style of etching combines both precise descriptive detail and more summary, sketchy renderings.&nbsp;Title in pencil, lower left of margin. Signed and dated in pencil right of center below platemark: &quot;John Taylor Arms, 1932&quot;.

This is a brightly colored oil painting of a street scene. Buildings are depicted in pink, yellow, and white.  A lavender and blue sky with white and yellow clouds makes up the background. Two women stand in the lower left corner; another woman and a black dog are seen on the right side. The ground is made up of patches of white, yellow, pink, and blue.  Thick black outlines are used throughout and the paint has been applied in a very thick and factured manner. Traces of newspaper appear to have been laid on the painting while it was still wet and became stuck and are visible in the clouds at the top and in the white portion of the central building, just under the street lamp.

The print depicts a three-story building with a large tower. The building is made of stucco and brick, with several balconies. The tower features a clock on its front face, and an arcaded belfry. An ornate spire crowns the structure. Cypress trees stand along the front of the building at the edge of a drive and yard. A somewhat stormy-looking sky casts strong shadows of the trees against the building. <br />
