Subject matter
After Knoxville, Tennessee, Lyon traveled to Galveston, Texas. He had not found the material he had hoped to find in Knoxville. In Galveston, he photographed people and places that were outside of mainstream America. He met seventeen year olds Roberta Henderson and Pumpkin Renee, two transgender women who identified themselves as "female impersonators, and homosexuals." In this image, the two dance in an establishment, another friend watching from a table.

Physical Description
A photograph of three women in a restaurant. On the left, a woman sits at a table with glass bottles. To the right, two women dance, each wearing patterned, high-waisted trousers.
