Subject matter
Very little is known about actor Sawamura Tanosuke II.  He was born in 1788 and held the name Tanosuke from 1801 until his death in 1817.

Physical Description
This is a print of a woman seated on the ground next to a fence.  She wears a purple robe patterned with white and pink flowers and a black sash.  Her hair is elaborately decorated with ribbons and pins.  A tree grows near the fence behind her.
